Shading spans with external blinds in excess of 6 metres can be challenging but our external zip screens can now be specified in widths of up to 7 metres with high performance fabrics.
For this residential project in Norfolk, shading was required for 9 metres of glazing. The project team led by Stratton Long, designed a pair of L profiles to fix adjacent blinds discreetly and without obstructing the view .
It is not common knowledge that external blinds can be specified in screen fabrics which retain the view to the outside. For this project we used Serge 600 which has a 5% openness factor for our clients to enjoy their outdoor landscape.
