Enviroblinds sail to The Rampion Wind Farm

Field trip to The Rampion Wind Farm

We enjoyed sailing to the Rampion Offshore Wind Farm on Friday with blue skies and a kind, gentle breeze. Sailing from Brighton Marina to the wind farm takes about an hour and is a fascinating trip to see the substation and the scale of the site.
The wind turbines look majestic at a height of 140 metres and all 116 of them, surprisingly quiet! It was great to hear that the wind farm supplies green energy to 350,000 homes in Sussex with significant plans for expansion.
A shout out for David from Ross Boats who captained our boat and gave us the flexibility to change our reservation for the good weather.
