External screens were supplied for this passive house in North Devon with stunning views to the surrounding countryside.

An integrated shading solution was required to passively cool this new build house. Retaining the view to the outside and wind resistance were additional considerations for this hill top location.

We installed flush mounted external screens with the casing and guide rails concealed behind the cladding. The screens were specified with a 5% opening factor to retain the view to the outside. To improve wind resistance, the screen fabric is attached to the guide rails with a zip seal.
