Sliding Panels for St John's Almshouses
St John’s Almshouses new development at Colebrook Street in Winchester, provides 15 affordable retirement homes.
The first and second floor feature balconies which required privacy for the residents.
Our sliding aluminium louvred panels were incorporated in the design by Rockcliffe:Williams Architects.
Manually moved side to side along a continuous top and bottom side track, the panels provide privacy and solar shading.
We think that the kinetic design of the panels also creates interest and enhances the building façade.
