A solar app by SOMFY uses a simple photo of the window to determine whether the size, orientation and light are within the parameters to power the solar motor.
The advantage of the solar motor is that no electrical supply or drilling through the shell of the building is required. Blinds on the outside are controlled on the inside using a wireless remote or wall switch.
