With Global Shading Day, the European Solar Shading Organisation (ES-SO) aims to draw attention to the key role solar shading plays in the fight against global warming.
ES-SO is keen to make consumers and policy-makers aware of the many benefits solar shading brings. Solar shading not only allows users to control the amount of daylight that comes in, but also prevents buildings from overheating, reduces the demand for active cooling and drives down CO2 emissions.
Solar shading is a simple choice that significantly improves the quality of our indoor climate whilst making a positive contribution to climate change.
