External Roller Shutters

Made from extruded or insulated aluminium slats, these shutters can save on heating energy and bills by 10-20% and cooling by 80-90%.

Made from aluminium which is infinitely recyclable, Enviroblinds roller shutters are not only sustainable but extremely durable and functional. Installations in modern and classic architecture across Europe over the past 50 years, prove that roller shutters stand the test of time and are suited to warm and cooler climates.

When lowered, the shutters can be adjusted so that the perforations between the slats allow light and ventilation into the room. In a fully closed position, the shutters can provide blackout (subject to the interface with the building), acoustic insulation and protect the window.

Enviroblinds roller shutters can be specified to compliment your façade with a full range of RAL colours to match the box and guides to the window frame and a choice of over 20 colours for insulated slat curtains. A selection of different sized slats according to the overall size required is available including higher density foam filled slats to provide extra protection to the window.

Extruded aluminium roller shutters are non combustible, provide ventilation and security and reduce overheating. They can therefore comply to Part B, Part F, Part O and Part Q of the building regulations. Our stacking roller shutter is manufactured with stainless steel connectors that allow a 6mm gap between each slat for air flow.

Manual operation can be specified but in most cases Somfy motors are used which are robust and reliable. Options for controls include wall mounted or hand held devices and remote control using an app. Wired in controls are also an option and can be linked to a BMS system.

Our solar powered roller shutters feature an integrated battery in the box and operate entirely on solar energy. Convenient and perfect for retrofit and passive house installation.
