Enviroblinds SME Climate Hub Report 2024-25

Enviroblinds Publishes Carbon Emissions Report and Strengthens  Commitment to Net Zero

At Enviroblinds, we’re deeply committed to reducing our environmental impact and expanding our sustainable practices. As part of this mission, we are proud members of the SME Climate Hub, a global initiative helping small businesses measure emissions, set realistic goals, and cut their carbon output by 50% before 2030. Using the SME Climate Hub Small Business Carbon Calculator, we have tracked our emissions and identified key areas where we can reduce our footprint — ensuring that sustainability remains central to everything we do.

Our Progress So Far

Reducing Our Energy Consumption

Working from home is now our norm, significantly reducing our energy use for heating, lighting, and daily operations. Other key actions include:
– Minimising commuting-related emissions through remote work
– Encouraging employees to travel by electric vehicle or public transport
– Operating a showroom at the Business Design Centre (BDC) in Islington — a certified B Corp that has pledged to be net zero by 2030

Sustainable Supply Chain

Our suppliers play a vital role in reducing our Scope 3 emissions — those produced along our supply chain. While we can’t control every external process, we choose to partner with companies that share our sustainability values.

Our main suppliers:
– Use sustainable powder coating processes
– Recycle waste and water in closed loops
– Operate in near energy-neutral facilities (BEN)
– Use hybrid and electric vehicle fleets
– Produce educational materials on natural cooling and energy-efficient design

We are especially proud that our principal supplier is a National Climate Ambassador in their country — highlighting the impact of collaboration and leadership in sustainable manufacturing.

Energy-Efficient Shading

Our products are designed to passively reduce overheating to eliminate the need for energy thirsty air conditioning. By helping our customers naturally regulate indoor temperatures, our blinds actively contribute to lowering carbon emissions in homes and businesses. We offer a range of manually operated and solar powered blinds which eliminate the need for any electrical supply.

Looking Ahead: Our 2050 Net-Zero Goal

Our commitment is clear:

Our main suppliers:
– Use sustainable powder coating processes
– Recycle waste and water in closed loops
– Operate in near energy-neutral facilities (BEN)
– Use hybrid and electric vehicle fleets
– Produce educational materials on natural cooling and energy-efficient design

– Reduce carbon emissions by 50% by 2030 in alignment with global climate targets

– Expand our supplier network with low-emission, circular-economy partners

– Invest in sustainable new product development

– Educate customers on the benefits of passive cooling and energy-efficient blinds

– Explore renewable energy options for future facilities

– Continued measurement and annual reporting of carbon emissions

By embedding sustainability into our daily operations, we are not only protecting the planet but also delivering products that help others live more sustainably.

A Message from the Team
